Gurunanak school has a unique ART room where creativity of students is nurtured with necessary equipment, to sensitize and enhance their aesthetic capabilities. All the students learn basic sketching in the foundation stage, then lessons in still life landscape, portrait and cartooning. Techniques with pencil markers, charcoal, pastels, acrylic and water colours are demonstrated. Art and painting activities provide children with an outlet for self expression and it is an important tool for emotional expression as well. It enhances cognitive development too.

Individual creativity is emphasized.
